Pocket Sculptures

A series of pocket-sized sculptures designed on paper, modelled in Wings3D software and printed in stainless-steel bronze alloy.

These were inspired by the idea of creating a circular form by curving an object 720 degrees instead of 360; to avoid self-intersection they must somehow twist past each other and end up having properties in common with a mobius strip.

Some of the sculptures were then modified by blueing and surface patination. Others were gold-plated and sold through The Gallery at Newport.

If you like them, they are currently available to order from  Shapeways.
